Swing Type Check Valve

Female thread check valve refers to the valve that automatically opens and closes the valve flap depending on the flow of the medium itself, and is used to prevent the medium from flowing back. It is also called a check valve, one-way valve, reverse flow valve, and back pressure valve. The check valve is a kind of automatic valve, its main function is to prevent the backflow of the medium, prevent the pump and the drive motor from reversing, and the discharge of the container medium. Check valves can also be used to supply pipelines where the pressure of the auxiliary system may rise above the system pressure.

Swing Type Check Valve FAQs

Q Can A Swing Check Valve Be Installed In Any Position?
A.

Even though swing check valves can be installed in any direction, you need to make sure they are placed on horizontal and vertical pipelines appropriately.

Q Which Is Better Swing Or Spring Check Valve?
A.

A spring loaded check valve will help minimize effects of water hammer, while a swing check valve can exacerbate the issue. Any water hammering effects present in a piping system can potentially be amplified by a swing check valve.
