PN 16 Flange

Nominal pressure PN is a numeric pressure-related marker code, a convenient round integer for reference.

All pipe attachments of the same nominal common diameter represented by the same nominal pressure PN value have the same connection size adapted to the end connection type.

The PN16 flange approximation is understood as a pressure resistance of 1.6Mpa.

PN 16 Flange VS PN 10 Flange

1. Material (Similarity):

The flanges (PN10 and PN16) can be made of carbon steel, stainless steel as well as alloy steel.

2. Design Pressure (Difference):

The PN10 flanges pressure is 10kgs

The PN16 flanges pressure is 16kgs, which is higher than the PN10 flange.

3. Type (Similarity):

Plate(DIN2573 2576 2502)

Blind(DIN2527)

Loose(DIN 2673 2674 2675 2676 2641 2642 2655 2656)

Weld Neck(DIN2627 2628 2629 2630 2631 2632 2633 2634 2635 2636 2637 2638)

Threaded(DIN2565 2566 2567)

Slip On(DIN86029 86030)

4. Installation (Similarity and Difference):

PN16 flange connecting end pressure for PN16 pipeline systems, higher than PN10 flange.

They both belong to DIN/BS/UNI standards.
