Steel Flange

Steel flange is a flange made of iron and Carbon, Silicon, Manganese, Phosphorus, Sulfur, together with a small number of other elements. Steel flange can be divided into low carbon steel flange, medium carbon steel flange, high carbon steel flange and alloy steel flange. Steel flange has solid structure, small volume, tight and reliable, easy operation and maintenance, pressure resistance, corrosion resistance, excellent sealing performance and wide range of use. Steel flanges are widely used in Petroleum, Chemical, Food, Dairy, Pharmaceutical, Machinery, Manufacturing, Sewage treatment, Municipal water supply pipes and other industries.

Steel Flange VS Carbon Steel Flange

1. Standard (Similarity):

Both steel and carbon steel flanges have ANSI/ASME, DIN, BS, JIS, UNI standard & EN 1092-1

2. Design Pressure (Similarity):

Both steel and carbon steel flanges pressure can be 150LBS/300LBS/400LBS/600LBS/900LBS, PN10/16, JIS10K/16K

3. Type & Facing (Similarity):

Type: Slip-on, Weld Neck, Blind, Lap Joint, Socket Weld, Threaded.Plate, Loose, SOP, SOH(A BC)

Facing: RF,FF,RTJ

4. Installation (Similarity and Difference):

Stainless steel flange does not need to be antirust treatment, carbon steel flange needs to be coated with antirust oil or spray antirust paint.

Steel Flange FAQs

Q Can steel flanges be used in high-temperature applications?
A.

Yes, specific steel flanges, especially those made from stainless steel or alloy steel, are designed to withstand high temperatures. Always check the material properties and pressure rating to ensure the flange can handle the temperatures of your application.

Q What's the Fuction for Flanges?
A.

Flanges are used to connect valves, pipes, and other equipment in the piping system. Usually, flanges are welded or threaded, and two flanges are connected together by bolting them with gaskets to provide a seal.

Q What Are the Main Features of Flange Connection?
A.

The main features of flange connection are easy disassembly, high strength and good sealing performance. During the installing, the two flanges are required to be parallel, the sealing surface of the flange should not be damaged and it should be cleaned.

Q How Long is Lead Time for One Flange Order?
A.

Generally, the lead time is about one month. If you have a deadline, please let us know in advance and we will try the best to fulfill your order in time.
