BS Flanges are used to connect valves, pipes, and other equipments in the piping system. Usually, BS flanges are welded or threaded, and two flanges are connected together by bolting them with gaskets to provide a seal.
BS Flange is flange with Dimensions as per BS 4504 or BS10:1962 British Standard, BS 4504 material standard Specification for Flanges and Bolting for Pipes, Valves, and Fittings. Standard BS 4504 flange dimensions from PN6, PN10, PN25 and PN40.
Both BS flange and ASME flange material can be carbon steel, stainless steel and other alloy steel.
About BS flange, the pressure is PN2.5, PN6, PN10, PN16, PN25, PN40. Regarding the ASME flange, the pressure is 150LBS, 300LBS, 400LBS, 600LBS, 900LBS

Same connection,due to OD of British standard is different from that of the American standard, and the BS flange connection size is different. Before connection, check the applicable standard of the pipe and select the appropriate flange for connection.
