Sealing Form and Material of Stainless Ball Valve

The sealing form of stainless ball valve

Stainless ball valves have the characteristics of fast opening and closing, reliable performance, and long service life. They can ensure the effective operation of ash discharge conveying pipeline systems. This stainless ball valve is suitable for use on the pipes of the blast furnace ash unloading device in the metallurgical system and should be installed in a vertical position to ensure smooth ash flow. The stainless ball valve must be fully open or fully closed when in use, and it is forbidden to be used as a throttling device.

The sealing form of the stainless ball valve: using a combination of soft and hard layered metal sheets for sealing, it has the dual advantages of metal hard sealing and elastic sealing. The stainless ball valve with automatic compensation device for sealing strip has very good sealing performance. The valve seat and valve body of the stainless ball valve are in a cylinder structure, which can maximize the integrity of the contact between the sealing surface and the ball surface, thereby ensuring the sealing life. The compensating device compresses the sealing valve seat onto the ball surface as a whole in the case of normal wear and tear, compensating for the sealing clearance generated by the wear and prolonging the service life of the sealing surface.

What should be done if the stainless ball valve leaks? Can it be repaired?

Stainless steel ball valve can only be replaced if they leak. It is more troublesome to repair them. The stainless ball valve can be closed relatively tightly with a rotation of 90 degrees and a small rotating torque. The stainless ball valve should generally be installed horizontally in the pipeline. Stainless ball valves are classified into stainless steel pneumatic ball valves, stainless steel electric ball valves, and stainless steel manual ball valves.

The completely equal inside of the stainless ball valve valve body is a relatively small, straight-through flow path with low resistance provided by the medium. The main characteristics of stainless ball valves are their compact structure, easy operation and maintenance. Stainless ball valves can be used to control the flow of various types of fluids, such as air, water, steam, various corrosive media, mud, oil, liquid metals, and radioactive media. The material of the stainless ball valve is divided into 304, 316, and 321 stainless ball valves.

The working principle of the stainless ball valve is to let the valve pass or block by rotating the valve core. Stainless ball valves have a light switch, small size, can be made into a large caliber, reliable sealing, simple structure, easy maintenance, and the sealing surface and ball surface are often in a closed state, not easily eroded by the medium, and are widely used in various industries.

What materials are used for stainless ball valves?

Stainless ball valves must consider their materials in the production process according to the environment, medium, and pressure requirements for applications: 304 stainless steel materials can be used in general weakly corrosive chemical industry and non-corrosive media, humid air containing salt, or harsh working conditions; for medium acidity and alkalinity and pressure exceeding atmospheric pressure, it is recommended to use 316L. Therefore, we select different materials according to different requirements for the environment, media, and pressure. Common materials for stainless ball valves include: 304, CF8; 304L, CF3; 316, CF8M; 316L, CF3M; 321, 904L, 2205, etc.
